The game features The House of the Dead 2 and III, and it retains all the graphical ability of the arcade originals. For any newcomers to the series, the premise is that a horde of zombies has been unleashed on an unsuspecting environment, and the player must now work their way through a series of levels, all while blasting zombies. Each game features branching storylines and a number of weapons, including the ever-powerful shotgun.
Gameplay takes place by pointing the Wii Remote at the screen, and then pressing a button for the trigger. Special gun attachments can be purchased separately, and these house the controls in a gun chassis, providing the look and feel of a firearm. For players who prefer a cooperative arcade style of play there is a cooperative mode, where two players can join forces to destroy the undead together. There is even an Extreme Mode for seasoned players, which makes the games more challenging than ever.
With six action packed single and multiplayer modes, The House of the Dead 2 and III brings the classic feel of the arcade to the living room.
