Some remember him from 'The Goons', some through his military autobiographies or his poems, but it's his work on television that has stamped Spike Milligan's surreal, chaotic and devastatingly funny humour on the imagination of a generation.
Spike's nine series of 'Q' (1968 - 1980) and 'There's A Lot Of It About' (1982) contained sketch after sketch of doolally nonsensical brilliance. The regular cast, (including John Bluthall, Peter Jones, Keith Smith and Bob Todd), played along, often in bemusement or hysterics, creating a unique and unrivalled atmosphere.
This compilation captures the highlights of those series, featuring such moments as 'The Lost Forever In The Bermuda Triangle Holiday', 'The Eurovision Joke Contest', insects auditioning for a David Attenborough series, Michael Parkinson at the Soldierama Massage Parlour, Spike as the Singing Viking Maiden and loads more assorted lunacy from the world of an undisputed comic genius.
