Rufus arrives in the Mirrored Kingdom with high hopes of making his fortune as the only barber in town. Unfortunately, no one wants a hair cut. For everyone wants to look just like the King, who has the longest most magnificent beard the world has ever seen; twisting and curling down from his castle through the streets like a gigantic, hairy vine. Fuelled by greed, Rufus sets off in the dead of night to reverse this royal fashion and cut off the King's beard. His plan unwittingly leads him into a magical adventure far bigger than he could ever have imagined... where the fate of the Mirrored Kingdom hangs quite literally in the balance and the dark secret of the King's beard is finally revealed!
