Originally released as Babes In Toyland, the first version of Victor Herbert's 1903 operetta is one of Laurel & Hardy's most beloved films. The meanest man in town, Silas Barnaby (Henry Kleinbach) threatens to kick widow Peep (Florence Roberts) out of her shoe unless her daughter Bo Peep (Charlotte Henry) agress to marry him. But Bo Peep loves Tom-Tom (Felix Knight), the piper's son. So it's up to Stannie Dum and Ollie Dee (Laurel and Hardy) to come to the rescue, with the life-size wooden soldiers they mistakenly made in the toy factory!
