School For Scoundrels Henry Palfrey (Ian Carmichael) tries hard to impress but always loses out to that rotter Delauney (Terry Thomas). Then he enrols at the wacky College of Lifemanship run by "professor" Potter (Alastair Sim) and discovers the secrets of success: how to seduce women, how to win points in conversation and how to win at tennis by driving your opponent crazy! But does he have the courage to put his lessons into effect?

The Green Man Hawkins (Alastair Sim) is a timid clockmaker with a very special part-time job - he's the world's least likely assassin! Finding work after the war is proving difficult, so things are looking up when he's asked to target a pompous government minister. But when vacuum-cleaner salesman William Blake (George Cole) stumbles upon the plot, can Hawkins still get his man in this killingly funny black comedy?
