SERIES 1
Danny Kavanagh leaves behind the dole queues of Liverpool and heads off to The Lake District for a fresh start. After finding work in a hotel he soon settles into the off-duty drink and sex culture. But fate has more in store for Danny when a tragedy shatters the community and they look for someone to blame.
SERIES 2
Danny tries to sort his life out but when he stands alone to defend the victim of a shocking rape he finds himself at odds with the village, including his wife and her family. Emotions are running high in the small community and behind the picturesque landscape lie infidelities, revenge and a brutal murder.
