Triple bill of zombie horror. In 'Sleepwalkers', based on a story by Stephen King, the virginal Tanya Robertson (Madchen Amick) visits the house of new-boy-in-town Charles Brady (Brian Krause) and is confused by the strange relationship he seems to have with his mother (Alice Krige). Maybe things would be clearer if she knew that the Bradys were in fact sleepwalkers: shape-shifting vampires with a taste for the blood of virgins. 'Ghosts of Mars' is set in 2176. Mars has now been colonized by Earth, but the spirits of the old planet still continue to cause trouble. When a police team travel to a distant Martian mining outpost in search of the mass murder suspect Desolation Williams (Ice Cube), they find the place populated mostly by headless corpses. Williams is discovered locked in the town jail, and when the team is attacked by a mob of miners possessed by Martian spirits, it seems the jail might be the safest place for them all to be. In 'The Serpent and the Rainbow', Bill Pullman plays a young anthropologist who is sent to Haiti by an American pharmaceutical company to find the drug used by voodoo priests to revive the dead. Although initially sceptical, he becomes tangled in the web of an alien culture involving blood rites, snakes, tarantulas, scorpions, zombie brides and torture.
