Felicia (Hugo Weaving), Mitzi (Guy Pearce) and Bernadette (Terence Stamp) are three Sydney drag queens invited to play a four-week cabaret way across country in Alice Springs.

It seems easy enough: buy an old school bus, (which is immediately christened Priscilla), fill it with a vast assortment of gaudy frocks, stilettos and the occasional padded bra, turn the music up, and take a leisurely drive through the outback.... But their journey is more like a collision - swerving between a string of comic, bizarre and sometimes dangerous situations.

'The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert', is a musical comedy road movie with a difference.
