Made-for-television feature, starring Diana Rigg. Phillipa (Rigg) is a successful business executive who has been recently widowed and begins to suffer a spiritual crisis. Turning to the Benedictine order of nuns at Brede Abbey, Phillipa decides to take the vows herself. But once inside the abbey, she realises that the spiritual comfort she was hoping for has still eluded her, and that the other members of the order are beginning to question her committment to her holy vows.
