Description

In the early 1950s a young army officer and a student nurse fell in love. Meeting up again after 38 years, older, wiser but still capricious, Jean and Lionel discover that love has a different pace and new priorities as time goes by, but that the heat of old flames can be rekindled.

Now married, Jean and Lionel are spending some quality time together at his father's country house, but as with most things in their lives their breaks away don't go quite to plan. The mini-series based on their romance is finally shown in America, but after all the alterations to Lionel's original script what will the audience response be?
