Two classic drama movies. In 'Greyfriars Bobby' (1960), Bobby the Skye terrier is totally devoted to his owner, a kindly old shepherd known only as Old Jock (Alex Mackenzie). When Jock passes away Bobby keeps a vigil by his grave, and such is his devotion to his late master that the dog is eventually made a freeman of Edinburgh. In 'Darby O'Gill and the Little People' (1959), a frisky old storyteller named Darby O'Gill (Albert Sharpe) is desperately seeking the proverbial pot of gold. There's just one tiny little thing in his way: a 21 inch leprechaun named King Brian (Jimmy O'Dea). But Darby must match his wits against the shrewd little trickster in order to get the gold.
