The sequel to the highly successful 'A Better Tomorrow' features Chow Yun Fat as Ken Gor, the cool, cynical yet highly honourable gangster, returning to Hong Kong from New York to avenge the gangland killing of a friend's daughter and taking on the opposition almost single-handedly. Ken is joined in his revenge quest by stoic, world-weary Ho (Ti Lung), the grief-crazed Lung (Dean Shek) and Police Officer Kit (Leslie Cheung). John Woo directs and orchestrates themes of trust, betrayal and violence with pyrotechnic excess, a breakneck pace and helter-skelter action.
