Robert Carlisle stars in a heartwarming dance drama in which a recent widower rediscovers hope after a chance encounter with a dying man. Carlisle plays recently widowed baker Frank Keane. En route to a delivery, Frank discovers a fresh accident and a man, Steve (John Goodman), is dying in the wreckage. Waiting together for the inevitable, Steve pleads with Frank to complete for him the mission he was on before the wreck - to meet an old sweetheart. The trail leads Frank to the Marilyn Hotchkiss' Ballroom Dancing and Charm School. Here, Frank is gradually absorbed into the group of regular attendees - in particular Meredith Morrison (Marisa Tomei), a woman on the same subconscious quest he is. Frank discovers a passion for dancing and, consequently, rediscovers his passion for living.
