SHERLOCK HOLMES FACES DEATH (1943):
In a tale based on The Musgrave Ritual by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Watson calls on Holmes for help when a convalescent home becomes the site of several sinister murders. The master detective arrives, but the long list of suspects include the home's owners, staff and patients. A clock strikes thirteen and a deadly game of chess ensues in this excellent addition to the series.
