Double bill of Japanese films sharing a common theme. Producer Shinya Kawai set the two directors a challenge to each make a film with two main characters who confront each other in a particular setting. In '2LDK' (2003) Lana (Maho Nonami) and Nozomi (Eiko Koike) are two actresses auditioning for the same role. In addition to the role, the girls also share an apartment, which causes friction, and ultimately violent conflict, as they wait for the verdict. In 'Aragami' (2003) two wounded samurai seek shelter in a remote temple. On waking, one of the warriors finds his wounds healed, with his comrade having apparently died in the night. The mysterious resident of the temple relates the legend of the 'Tengu', a goblin-like creature that feeds off the flesh of men. When the stranger eventually reveals himself to be the 'Tengu', the samurai realises the only way to leave the temple is by destroying the creature.
