Triple bill of action thrillers. 'Edison' (2005) stars Morgan Freeman and Kevin Spacey. Corruption is the law of the land in the American every-town of Edison, and the only soul brave enough to peer into the fire and face the wrath of an entire squad of corrupt cops is fresh-faced journalist Joshua Pollack (Justin Timberlake). However, when Pollack misjudges the depth of the authoritative decay and his girlfriend is hospitalised following a brutal attack by the alliance of crooked cops known as FRAT, he soon decides to take action and prove that even those who believe themselves to be above the law still aren't beyond its reach. In 'The Contract' (2006), widower Ray Keene (John Cusack) is a father who wants to bond with his son on a trip to the wilderness. At the same time Frank Cordell (Morgan Freeman), a freelance assassin being taken under guard by the FBI, crashes into a river after a rescue attempt by his men. Rescued by Keene, Cordell tries to plead for his freedom, but Ray feels duty calling him to return Cordell to justice. Unknown to Ray, Cordell's men are on his trail and closing in. In 'Under Suspicion' (2000), it's carnival time in Puerto Rico, but three young women have been found dead and the killer is still on the loose. Harry Hearst (Gene Hackman) is a rich and successful lawyer who discovers one of the bodies and is consequently asked by police chief Victor Benezet (Morgan Freeman) to help with his enquiries. However, Hearst soon finds himself being given the third degree by Detective Owen (Thomas Jane), who grills him over his private life and - in particular - his relationship with his young and very beautiful wife Chantal (Monica Bellucci), who is almost thirty years his junior. Soon a number of startling discoveries conspire to make Hearst the prime suspect in the murder case...
