SEND IT Summer Update: Trail Work, Racing and a Busy August Ahead

Summer is moving fast, and the SEND IT crew has been making the most of it.

Between racing, supporting local trail builders and showing up at events across the Mountain West, we’ve had plenty going on behind the scenes—and August is shaping up to be even busier.

Here’s a quick look at what we’ve been working on and where you can find us over the next few weeks.

Supporting the Virginia Canyon Trail System

One of the things we care about most is supporting the trails and the people who make riding possible.

The SEND IT team, along with friends and family, is working with the Renegade Trail Crew to support the growing Virginia Canyon trail system near Idaho Springs, Colorado. The crew has put in a huge amount of work creating a unique new riding destination, and we’re excited to help keep that momentum going.

We’re currently dialing in the details for a SEND IT-sponsored trail build day. The exact date and schedule are still being finalized, but the plan is simple:

• Spend the day helping build and maintain trails
• Give away some free SEND IT gear to volunteers
• Wrap things up with food and drinks in Idaho Springs

Whether you ride Virginia Canyon regularly or have been waiting for an excuse to check it out, this will be a great opportunity to support the people putting tools in the dirt and building something special for Colorado riders.

We’ll share the official date, meeting location and volunteer details as soon as everything is confirmed.

SEND IT at the Haystack Enduro

On August 2, SEND IT will be sponsoring the Haystack Enduro.

We’re psyched to see riders put their bikes, gear and bodies to the test right here in our Colorado backyard. Enduro racing has a little bit of everything we love: long days, rough terrain, questionable line choices and plenty of reasons to hang out at the finish afterward.

Planning to race? Thinking about spectating? Interested in volunteering?

However you choose to get involved, there will be opportunities to win premium SEND IT moto gear during the event.

Come race, cheer on your friends or help keep the event running smoothly. Just don’t be surprised when someone comes through the timing gate looking like they’ve been wrestling a dirt bike for the past five minutes.

Big Mountain Enduro Championship Weekend

The following weekend, we’re heading to Jackson Hole for the final stop of the Big Mountain Enduro season and the championship races on August 8–9.

Jackson Hole is a fitting place to close out the series. The terrain is steep, technical and unapologetically physical—the kind of riding that exposes every weak link in your setup and reminds you why holding on counts as a skill.

We’re excited to watch some of the fastest enduro riders around battle for the championship and see how everyone handles a full weekend of big terrain and high-pressure racing.

Mountain States Cup at Grand Targhee

The summer tour continues the following weekend at Grand Targhee for Round Three of the Mountain States Cup downhill series.

The Mountain States Cup has delivered some incredible racing this season, and Grand Targhee should be another fast, rough and entertaining weekend. Between the racecourse, the mountain setting and the energy around the pits, downhill weekends are always a good reminder that bikes are supposed to be ridden hard.

We’ve already had a great time supporting racers and watching SEND IT gear get put through real-world testing on the course.

That means dust, rocks, crashes, chairlift laps and riders asking their gloves to survive things no normal piece of clothing should have to deal with.

Exactly how we like it.

Come Ride, Dig or Hang Out

The next few weeks represent a lot of what SEND IT is about.

We’re here to make gear for riders, but we also want to support the trails, events and communities that give us somewhere to use it. Whether that means showing up with a shovel, sponsoring a race or handing out gear at the finish line, we’re proud to be involved.
